Trek and Glide explores the interplay between persistence and fluidity, effort and release. The trek is defined by a persistent rhythmic pattern in the strings, subtly shifting in ways that require careful attention. In contrast, the glide features a soaring melody with wide leaps, supported by a rhythmic accompaniment that propels the music forward. The piece culminates in a grand and fast-paced conclusion, signalling one final push of momentum before settling into a restful chord.
